The Pomponi Estate
The estate covers a surface of 400 hectares (988 acres) between San Casciano dei Bagni and Radicofani, on the edge of the “Natural, Cultural and Artistic park of the Orcia Valley”.
The cultivation of cereals, together with vineyards and olive groves, producing wine and extra virgin olive oil.
Plunges in the wonderful land of Siena, an area of extraordinary charm with hills, clefts, oak woods, farmhouses, and cypresses.
Dirt tracks and narrow lanes allow one to discover the “slow” vacation with walks, horse and mountain bike riding.
Owned by the Pomponi’s family since 1852, as are many other farmhouses. Since April 2003, as well as carrying on the agricultural activity, the family has decided to start renting San Lorenzo, the oldest villa, and Collolungo, the biggest villa: where generations of farmers have lived since the Middle Ages.
The farmhouses have been recently renovated. The restoration has given back the old stones to their original charm though still keeping all the features of a true Tuscan cottage: as the loggia, the well and the oven. Extremely well furnished with antiques and country furniture.
